I had a HSG offered an open tube, now a new document, do you have a saline sonogram .. What is the difference? and can not find the same results?

A saline infusion sonogram (SIS saline or ultrasound) is carried out regularly to ensure that (the cavity of the endometrial lining of the uterus) appears normal. After the procedure can continue to have slight cramps for a few hours. It may also cause slight bleeding or watery, no later than 24 hours after surgery. You should not have sexual intercourse for 48 hours
Thus, HSG is a dye X-ray where they are through the uterus to the body better, and SIS is an ultrasound with a saline solution to be seen.
